OK, lets assume you caught it. Now what? Since every store and building has surveillance cameras, and there will be govt drones hovering about, how do you plan to create an obstruction and flood the grass without being recognized? All you have accomplished is to get their tank dirty, create a minor inconveniece in waiting for another tank to tow it out, and get yourself arrested/shot.
Think about it. Someone has to get out to hook on to it.

Note that the light tank does not have a "holding area" but does have gun ports. Obviously if they are using this thing, getting arrested is not part of the plan. The reason for the mine resistance is to assualt a prepared position or to "patrol" a hostile populace that will be shooting at them.
This has NOTHING to do with Police work, and everything to do with destroying America. If they are using this tank, getting shot is already the primary option. Any attempt to stop this thing is to save American lives.
