Why do they need these? – This is beyond Creepy – Who is the DHS going to war against?

The Federal Government ordered almost 2 billion rounds of ammunition. They ordered targets looking like average armed citizens. They are conducting military style exercises in urban areas. North Carolina police say they are practicing for martial law.

Now this……

Via Modern Survival Blog - The Department of Homeland Security (through the U.S. Army Forces Command) recently retrofitted 2,717 of these ‘Mine Resistant Protected’ vehicles for service on the streets of the United States.

Have you read “Unintended Consequences” by John Ross? It’s an interesting piece of fiction.

I get pretty frustrated with my libinlaws who, when you point out these things that their precious government does or tries to do, fall back on “they didn’t get it passed/done/enforced/etc”.

They don’t seem to understand that the mentality that would even think of doing these things should be no where near the levers of power.

Well, how convenient. Took ‘em offline, but doesn't say one damn thing about not selling them.

I just sent a link, along with some scathing comments, to my rep in Congress.

When Obama said he wasnted a civilian military force as well equipped as our military did ANYONE in the meadia think to ask him “What for?”

Or are the “progressives” so firmly entrenched in the media that they rubbed their hands and said “Yesssssss~!!!”

What this means is that when you are prepping, don’t forget to include a large stash of gasoline, a funnel, glass bottles, cotton rags, and cigarette lighters.

Why in the world would you need to be confronting pregnant women, old men, grannies in their bathrobe, etc. in their home?

Because you're there to confiscate their guns.

Are they assuming that the guy with the shotgun is just going open the door and stand there?

That's for getting an idea what you'll see in back of the front door you've just kicked in in your no-knock raid.

I suppose a couple of these targets showing a guy sitting on his couch with a gun he just pulled from between the seat cushions would give the game away.

It’s the “liberal” who has the deep, dark desire that the power of the State will be used to “punish” those that dare disagree with them.

I know God is at work here, just as He was while allowing past tyrannies. What I don’t know is our role before Him in all this. As Americans we’ve been taught to resist tyranny, even been charged with the RESPONSIBILITY to do so by our Founders. Is it wrong before God to fight to the death against oppression, even in the twilight stages as Solzhenitsyn suggested above? Hesitation could leave you in a death camp, “burning” against what might have been.

I struggle with this, since it is also clear from the Bible that surrender is sometimes the “right thing to do” before God. Hebrews speaks of a time when persecuted Christians “joyfully accepted the confiscation of [their] property” and makes an appeal to them to remember that during their present persecution. Now THAT’S a tough sell to an American!

Faith is needed, I suppose. Ultimately I disagree with Solzhenitsyn’s charge of blame. Sometimes a people are overrun simply because God has allowed it for His purposes (this would include their inability to “see” what was happening). “Blame” originates from the Fall, and from that point to now we have deserved every tyrant and yet have not been “treated as our sins deserve”. We demand there be NO tyrants. Barring this fantasy, notice that God DOES cut the tyrant’s reign short. They don’t end well: Suicide, Syphilis, Hanged upside down with their mistress in the public square, Exiled, etc.

And after death? The Judgment!

The vehicles’ suspension is potentially vulnerable - pneumatic cushions. One well-placed shot will take them out and immobilize the vehicle. Or so I’ve heard...

Something to consider.

Once American travelers realized that plane hijackers were only interested in murder-suicide, they have regularly turned on anyone making a stir in that direction. No more sitting duck syndrome when you already know the end game.

Perhaps a similar reaction by Americans to this, once it becomes obvious we’re dealing with extermination? I have a hard time believing we will truly roll over once our loved ones become the Targets With White Backgrounds.

“This can easily be solved by the states rejecting the use of these arms within their borders.”

This is the key.

Just as we see some of the red states passing laws that “prohibit enforcement” of federal laws that would restrict the 2nd Amendment within their borders, we need to see those same states pass laws that ban [within their respective borders] the deployment of “security forces” of _civilian_ federal agencies for law-enforcement purposes.

To wit, the states should “extend” the restrictions of Posse Comitatus to include federalized, armed, civilian forces as well as “uniformed military”.

When if ever will the feckless Republicans question this build up?

Get real. The Republicans are in on it. It was George W. Bush that created the DHS, TSA and signed the Patriot Act and the NDAA. Did you really think all that was for Muslim terrorists? The same Muslim terrorists the US government financed and armed to attack Libya and now doing the same in Syria.

I haven’t looked into it lately, but it may be out of print and very expensive. I found it on the internet as a PDF file and had then sent to my Kindle. I read it for free, so if you see it on Amazon for $200, do not despair.

Bush was reacting to 9/11 - and to radical Muslims.

THAT'S NOT what's happening now with Obama's thugs.

There's MORE Muslims working in 'homeland security' than there are conservatives. They don't give a damn about protecting our boarders... They don't give a damn about protecting us from radical Muslims.

You know that. You know that because they've said as much. Bush wanted to protect the American people from radical Muslims. 'Homeland/Stalin-type/ Thug Security' wants to protect the power of corrupt Democrats from conservative Republican AMERICANS CITIZENS.

It's a creepy bunch.

Held up by creepy liars who troll like MSNBC fake twitterers...
