You are correct. Indoctrinated yes, educated no. I had a visit with a young man the other night that we have mentored since he was about 12. He is 30 now. Got off to a rough start but now seems to be getting organized. He is a near Freeper.

He is:

Knowledgeable of the monster that is the Federal Reserve.
Has very little knowledge of any history. The Revolution, Civil War, Depression, WWII, Korea... happened. He knows about hippies, that we lost Vietnam, that there is a “Clinton Legacy”, that Regan was President and that there was a Gulf War. That is about all.

I asked who his heroes were, who in the history of the U.S. demonstrates greatness, character, moral courage etc. that he considers a model. He thought a long time... nobody.

If he is typical, and based on other observations I have made of others he is, the ideal of America has been purged from the view of this generation. You are correct in observing that he is unaware of his ignorance but more... he is ignorant of the significance of that.

They’ve been raised on “self-esteem.” They know they’re wonderful at everything, despite knowing nothing.
