CLARKSDALE, Miss. -- The body of Marco McMillian, the former Alabama A&M administrator whose body was found last week, was "beaten, dragged and burned," according to a statement released by his family to the Jackson Clarion Ledger. A Shelby Miss. man, 22-year-old Jeremy Reed, has been charged in McMillian's murder.

"We feel this was not a random act of violence based on the condition of the body when it was found," the McMillian family said in the statement. "Marco, nor anyone, should have their lives end in this manner."

McMillian worked in the cabinet of former Alabama A&M President Robert Jennings from 2006-07. McMillian was running for mayor of his hometown of Clarksdale when he went missing after his SUV was in a car accident last Tuesday morning.

Police began searching for McMillian after the accident in which Reed was driving his car.

Family members of both McMillian and Reed have confirmed the two men knew each other. Coahuma County Sheriff's Department has said only that McMillian's death is not considered a hate crime connected to the fact that he was openly gay.

Must be a huge disappointment to the MSM that they are both African American. It would have made such a lovely hate crime story.

Whoa, not so fast. As usual, the UK's Daily Mail Online has much more of the story than the PC American newspapers.

Turns out the murdered guy, right with the red necktie, is the first openly gay candidate for mayor of Clarksdale. So maybe it is a hate crime; only the MSM doesn't find it sexy enough for all the obvious reasons.

Was the victim a very close friend of POTUS? Because young black gay men do not far well as friends of POTUS.

Oh that’s a tough one for the MSM. Can an African American commit a hate crime?

“are they sure its not a suicide?”

Back in the ‘80’s an opposition politician in Kenya (Robert Ouko) was found shot, hacked into pieces and then burned. Initially the government investigators ruled it a suicide.

No sarcasm - actual case!

wow. See, we make jokes about this stuff, but they usually happened somewhere. I guess ruling clans in 3rd world countries, which we are becoming, can get away with stuff like that

The investigation pointed to the former president’s “heavy”, Nicholas Biwott.

PS If you want to read a “puff piece” or whitewash, look at this. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicholas_Biwott

Ouko actually committed suicide in Ft Marcy Park..... /sarc

Amazing coincidences, right?

I’d say that the obamacurse has them “dropping like flies”, but Obama does even swat at the flies.

I thought the foul spirits that surrounded the Clintons were vile. The obamademons make the clintondemons look like bumbling schoolyard imps.
