I'd be receptive to your ideas of how to prevent the destruction of the liberty and dignity of Americans

I'll tell you this - social engineering won't actually do that. Creating laws that encourage people to ignore the law won't do that.

What you're describing isn't "liberty". It's statism.

What the LGBTHIV movement is doing right now is statism on steroids: it's using coercive governing power to crush dissent, silence one sort of speech, dictate another, sweep away free institutions with fines and confiscations, all to advance a disordered behavior which impedes healthy family formation and physical and mental well-being.

Tis is a form of behavior which was proscribed by custom and by law when this country was dramatically freer than it is now.

Do you think that pre-Lawrence, penile anal penetration was suppressed by surveillance, arrests, and prosecutions? It was not. It was counteracted by pervasive social disapproval, almost universal non-cooperation, and open disgust. But the statists (plus the hedonists) post-Lawrence are making social disapproval illegal; non-cooperation, discrimination; and disgust, hate speech. They are penalizing individuals, businesses, professions, private associations and institutions (see that previous bullet-pointed post).

Those who love liberty should focus on preserving their virtues, not their vices. Because by virtue you rule yourself; by vice, you are ruled.
