Less than two months into his second term, President Barack Obama's approval rating has dropped and Americans blame him and his fellow Democrats almost as much as his Republican opponents for a fiscal mess.

A Reuters/Ipsos online poll released on Wednesday showed 43 percent of people approve of Obama's handling of his job, down 7 percentage points from February 19.

I'm sure shutting down the White House starting next week and Michelle and her offspring's multi-million $$ Spring Break Vacation in 3 weeks are going to help his standing.

They’ve gone into the four-corners stall on mailing income tax refund checks, and will be blaming the sequester.

Remember, you heard it here first.

Quite the drop in popularity.

Obama the Alinsky-ite prospers when he & the MSM have an individual to demonize. Now that they no longer have Romney they will be looking for a new individual to target soon in order to pump up his numbers.

Meh. Until we get rid of the GOP elite it’s meaningless. It’s not like those people are going to vote Rove-GOP. They won’t.

And? This makes a difference how? He’s in. That’s that. He doesn’t care about his popularity. The media will fix it anyway just so his feelings aren’t hurt. He won’t “sequester” his golf as has been proposed. He won’t change his vacation schedule. He’ll do as he damn well pleases.

Obama couldn’t care less what his popularity rating is. He has a gutless opposition party, a butt stupid electorate, and no press to hold him accountable for anything he does. He has no reason to worry about anything, despite all the noise we make. He knows that we are not going to do anything serious to stop him from doing whatever he wants.

43%? Public education has failed this country.

Obama doesn’t care about his approval ratings only because he can blame the Republicans for preventing him from succeeding. Obama cares very much about the mid-term elections.

Obama is fear mongering and any drop in his approval ratings will be painted as the result of Republican obstinacy preventing him from “fixing things”. Even the people that Obama is appointing to fill his cabinet are being picked to instill the greatest amount of fear. Just look at Gina McCarthy, formerly known as the “Enforcer” at the Mass. EPA.

We have ALLOWED public education to fail our country. What is sad is I don’t see any way to turn that around now.

0bama is who he is. Who can explain why these “opinion” polls are as volatile as they are?

They’ve gone into the four-corners stall on mailing income tax refund checks,...”

Sent my college age grandson’s returns in the last Sunday in February and his refund was deposited in his account yesterday. That was pretty quick and just in time so he can pay his truck insurance for the next year which is due Friday. Like other people he’s had his hours cut on his two part-time jobs so he’s now scurrying to find a third part-time job this summer so he can continue in school. He’s had his work-study hours cut from 20 a week last year to 5 a week this year so they can add more kids. It’s a never ending scramble.

Could not agree more.

The popularity rating drop is good news. The drop is among democrats and independents. The dem leaning voters will never vote for fiscal sanity, but they will stay home in the mid terms.

When will the Slowest Nation in the World finally conclude that the 2012 election was stolen by this corrupt administration? Both parties are afraid to investigate the obvious.

It may have been stolen, but the real problem is that we have become a nation who willingly chooses to be led by people like Maxine Waters, Sheila Jackson Lee, Al Franken, Barney Frank, Jesse Jackson Jr., Nancy Pelosi, Charlie Rangel, Harry Reid, Barack Obama, Joe Biden, etc. There is no cure for us if we insist on choosing people like that to be our leaders.

So what? He still got another four years. Some of it was election fraud, some of it was people getting free prezzies, but a lot of it was stupid, brainwashed idiots.

He was under 50% most of his first term, too. What difference did it make?

A guy at work was telling me about some ant-Obama jokes he heard on Leno, as if they showed a “change in media coverage of Obama”. I told him: “Who cares? The media protected The One and got him re-elected. It matters not what they say about him now. He’s got 4 years (at least) to continue destroying the USA”.
