I'm ensconced in my office at 13th & Eye Streets NW - The snow was fairly heavy this morning but has tapered off. We're at about 36 degrees and nothing has stuck on the streets or sidewalks below.

Many counties public schools were declared closed last evening before a flake had fallen. In my own county - Prince George's - they called schools off last night, again before the first flake fell. I had one of the smoothest drives into work in many a moon. I agree with Puck:

You’d think by now these clowns would know to schedule these things for in the summer.

Is is even snowing yet? My daughter’s school was shut down for the day, but when we asked her if it was snowing, she said “not yet”. The school closed in anticipation of snow. As did the government, apparently.

I hope they don’t reschedule it for March 17th.

There may be quite a row when the leprechauns come out to bust a few skulls for the environazis exposing Al Gore’s fact that it’s “millions of degrees” beneath the Earth’s surface.

The leprechauns want to keep this quiet.

You see, according to the latest global warming theory, it’s the leprechauns and unicorns in their underground lairs that help the Morlocks to create global warming from our car exhaust....
