We have been turned into a socialist state where loyalty to the ‘party’ is all-important and turning neighbors in for crimes against the state are encouraged.
Soon, you will have to read your bible in private or risk arrest.
So, I have some pertinent questions:
- If the police break into my house with no cause, can I shoot them?
- If the make-believe police or criminals break into my house, can I shoot them? The point is, how am I supposed to know the difference?
- If the police start shooting at me for no reason as I drive down the street, can I shoot back?
- If the make-believe police or criminals start shooting at me as I drive sown the street, can I shoot back? Again, the point is, how am I supposed to know the difference?
A true story: As I and four passengers were driving down a street in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, a car in front of us stopped (we were on a ramp, so there was no room to get around them) and two armed guys got out. One stayed in front of our car while the other came to driver’s side window and asked to see our passports and car registration. It seemed a bit funny, because the guy in the front kept talking on his cell phone. We showed our documents - the guy gave them back, and they got back in their car and drove away.
Upon telling our in-country hosts about this, they said that, first of all, the men were not police - all police wear uniforms. What they surmised was that the guy in front was talking with a lookout up the road, watching for the real police. They suspected that the guys intended to shoot the driver and steal the vehicle, but, since there were five people in the car, did not want to take that big a risk.
So, in this country, where there are car jackings everyday and we do have plain-clothes police and criminals who dress like the police, how are we, law-abiding citizens, supposed to react in such situations??? If you will recall, two women in CA were shot at by police because their vehicle looked that of wanted murderer Chris Dorner.
If you don’t know it’s a cop and he’s in your house without a warrant, yes, yes you can legally shoot him. But, you better be darn sure you have plenty of outstanding witnesses.

I'm not familiar with the details of NJ Tenant Landlord law, but as a general rule, renters have what is called a "right to quiet enjoyment." In theory, a landlord could be found guilty of trespassing on his own property, and a renter has, up to a point, the right to permit or deny access to the leased premises. The lease would clearly outline the terms and conditions under which a landlord could enter without the tenant's permission (typically under emergency circumstances) and under which the landlord might grant access to the leased property to others.
Okay, there's the pretext for entry. Then one says he things the resident has a gun, giving the cop probable cause to enter-- and the door was already open anyway. Add to this a DA who is looking for advancement and you've got this abomination.

Careful what you wish for with "state Rights". Look at the restrictions and bans the state of New Jersey has on guns and ammunition.

If someone breaks into you’re home, the state of NJ requires you to do a lot of thinking before you react.
From the Law (one of the many ridiculous parts):
“These would include the age, size and physical condition of the parties.”
So I guess my 6’5” nephew might be guilty of murder but his frail 66 year old uncle would be might be deemed innocent of the same defense depending on the size of the assailant.
Only government could spend millions creating a law crazy as this.
