Environmentalist do not care about oil or gas or anything else. They in general hate this country and its success like most all other democrats.

Environmentalists are one of the emotional wings of the communists. Environmentalism is a weapon to cripple capitalism. It is hard to convince people to give up freedom and liberty when they are self sufficient. Communists need dependence on government to gain power over the people. No better way to increase dependence than making impossible to support your daily needs.
