WAIT a minute. Rand Paul voted for Hegel and you are crucifying Marco Rubio for this.
Look, I want those Dems out of the White House. I want control of Congress. I want to flush the RINOs out of the GOP - REAL RINOS like McCain, Graham, Boehner and McConnell.
I’ll support Paul. I’ll support Cruz, I’ll support Rubio. I don’t care. They are all good.
But a word of warning. Last time we got stuck with a RINO ringer because conservatives split their votes on too many good conservative candidates in the primaries. Romney never carried more than two states with a majority of GOP primary votes until the others were forced out of the running. The CONSERVATIVE candidates got the majority of votes in the state primaries - Bachmann, Gingrich, Cain, and Santorum.
We can’t do the same thing AGAIN, or once AGAIN we will be running Demcorat Lite against Democrat HEAVY and Lite always loses because Conservatives won’t support them and all the Bolsheviks vote for the REAL Marxist.
Several of us on this thread are wondering the exact same thing that you're wondering. Not crucifying Rubio, just scratching our heads about his Brennan vote - especially after participating in Paul's filibuster.
I still cannot find anything from Rubio about this. Again, not crucifying, just wondering what brought about his yes vote.
What really gets me is when (many) Senators seem to "cover" each others votes (before upcoming elections, etc.) - when they know they have enough votes to pass/not pass something. They give each other passes, it seems. (Again...not talking about/crucifying Rubio specifically :)
