On her Thursday 1 p.m. ET hour show on MSNBC, host Andrea Mitchell denounced a newly passed law in Arkansas preventing abortions after 12 weeks: "We're talking about the most restrictive abortion legislation in decades. Most people do not think it will pass court test muster..."
She lamented to Time magazine's Nancy Gibbs: "We're still debating whether or not in the first trimester there should be the right to abortion, all these years after Roe v. Wade." Gibbs joined in the hand-wringing: "There are a growing number of states where there are simply no abortion providers available or there's only one in the entire state, or the restrictions have become so great that effectively there is no availability of abortion....This is just the latest of what has been a pretty steady stream of state level efforts to roll back that access."
NBC and CBS similarly hyped the law as the "most restrictive abortion law in the country."

Already, congressional liberals from many states have started drafting legislation to outlaw the State and declare it null and void, be made into a vast wasteland for hunting, fishing and all sorts outdoor sport activities.

Let's do some rudimentary math that you don't need to consult your husband for, Andrea.
Nine month pregnancy and trimesters? Tri = Three. 9 months divided by three is three. So there's three months in a trimester. Amazing.
There's also four weeks in a month. Three months in a trimester times four weeks is ... 12!
TWELVE WEEKS into a pregnancy is the first trimester. This law concerns itself with the SECOND trimester, the time period AFTER 12 weeks.

I’ve been active in the pro-life movement since 1970, when a ballot referendum in the state of my then residence legalized abortion (I don’t remember specific limitations imposed, if any). But I am not expert in law. It is said that a right to abort cannot be found in the U. S. Constitution, but do not the Roe v. Wade findings assert and implicitly presume to acknowledge and defend such a right? In my opinion abortion for the sake of personal convenience is utterly inconsistent, by implication if not in explicit language, with the very founding principles of the U. S. A., and thus would not be authorized by a Constitution designed to lend operational substance to the Declaration of Independence.

I hate to stick up for Andrea Alzheimerz, but there are 13 weeks in 3 months, not 12 (unless Popeye Pelosi made every month 28 days long and we're just finding out now). So, by a few days, she's correct, 13 weeks, not 12, in one trimester.
