I don’t know why a top tier candidate wouldn’t be interested in the first open seat in 20 years. In the 2nd midterm of a rat President with under 50% approval.
Amash running is fine with me as long as he loses the primary and is replaced in the House with a conservative Republican.
I think three people have a legitimate shot. Mike Rogers, Terri Lynn Land, and Candice Miller. Miller would be a real nose-holding vote for me, but she has won statewide in the past. Mike Rogers was briefly my congressman for two years when I was in the old 8th District. He flipped a seat from D-R despite Gore winning it. He’s a very good campaigner, as is Terri Land.
