John S. McCain III, the disastrous Republican 2008 candidate who suspended his presidential campaign and refused to take the fight to Barack Obama when he had the chance to actually do something for his country, has beclowned himself yet again:
Highlighting the discord among Republicans over President Barack Obamas targeted killings policy, two prominent GOP senators, John McCain of Arizona and Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, took to the Senate floor to criticize Kentucky Sen. Rand Pauls 12-hour filibuster Wednesday…
McCain said Thursday the Senate needed to conduct hearings and an in-depth debate on Obamas targeted killings policy, but that conversation should not be talking about drones killing Jane Fonda and people in cafes. It should be all about what authority and what checks and balances should exist in order to combat an enemy that we know will be with us for a long time.
The distinguished senator’s crack about Hanoi Jane (her account of her trip to North Vietnam is at the link) got me to thinking about his own past, which in turn led to the question: why do Republicans admire this man? Most of his life, John McCain has been a disgrace to his service, to the Congress and to his country. So let’s take a trip down memory lane:

McCain proves the physics that turds float!
What did you do wrong?
The cream always rises to the top, but so does the scum. Every time I heard McCain, the word “insane” comes to mind.
Apparently it’s not allowed. Maybe some copyright problem, I guess.
I saw another that was good with McCain being shown next to the angry Birds logo.
More like “American Idiot.”
John McCain, American Hero
From hero to political hack in less than a lifetime. His hero status was worn out years ago.
A good look at McCain’s military career would show he just sucked. And I can back up that statement.
The hero that is no longer
Yes, I’ve seen that. Like all those living on reputation alone it will probably never be questioned.
He did to himself.
McCain is a pig.

I find it difficult to envision how a man who has spent so much time attempting to ingratiate himself to our adversaries (Dems & MSM) didn’t do the same thing with his North Vietnamese captors under much more trying circumstances.
I think the word “hero” should be reserved for those who have proven the case. People like James Stockdale, George Day, Jeremiah Denton, Dieter Dengler, people who actually acted in heroic manner above and beyond their military status, be it pilot, grunt, POW, or other.
The status of POW doesn’t automatically confer hero status. And there’s enough doubt about his actions in Hanoi to forever muddy the waters on his political independence vis a vis the democrat party.
He got shot down. Too bad, but that’s not heroic. We should have standards, and he doesn’t measure up.
He proved himself as useful in the Vietman War as he is in the political and culture war today.
“A good look at McCains military career would show he just sucked. And I can back up that statement.”
Yeah, he was an admiral’s son who got “passes” when he crashed government aircraft on I believe three or four occasions prior to being shot down. And as far as a hero is concerned, I imagine he just wanted to live to get out of the Hanoi HIlton, so I don’t see that as any more heroic than anyone else who was incarcerated there. Be that as it may, he’s managed to erase any notion that he’s an American by his behavior since his release. He “escaped” the S&L scandal, he dumped his ill first wife for a rich “beer heiress,” and gave birth to a fat pig daughter with a big mouth, and has been trying to give away the country to Mexico for years! Way to go John!
Didn’t McCain do his best to stop people like Sen. Bob Smith and Ross Perot from being able to go back to Vietnam to look for POWs who might still be held captive? I never could figure why a former prisoner would do that unless there were secrets about his time in Hanoi Hilton that he didn’t want disclosed.
In my neck of the woods we have a simple saying, “The guys a bum!’’.
McCain is getting sadder and sadder. He badly needs to retire in order to stop embarrassing himself in siding with a president that is determined to destroy our country.
Go away John!
There are lots more articles out there.
Letter to Juan McKook
I hope this is your last term but if you face a primary opponent, it will be a pleasure to contribute to him or her as I did to JD Hayworth for a total of $205.
If you had only shown the degree of vituperation towards Obama that you recently showed to Senator Paul, a member of your own party, you might be the President. Instead, you clearly dislike principled conservatives far more than you dislike liberal democrats.
Considering that you are a pseudoconservative, it’s just as well that you aren’t President. I voted for Bob Barr but if you had been the only alternative to Obama, I would not have voted at all for President in 2008. You are nothing more than a vain, pompous, old has-been. Without your wife’s money, you, like fellow gigolo John Kerry, would be nothing at all whatsoever.
I wish you a quick. painless but entirely natural death sooner rather than later. Your state as well as our country will be much better off!
More to McKook:
It is with great pleasure that I donate to the campaign of a true conservative, J.D. Hayworth. Why do I do so?
Of all the potential 2008 Republican candidates for President, you were, to me, by far the least acceptable. Mark Levins article of a year ago, enclosed, details just a few reasons for my conclusions.
When you did get the nomination, you ran a tepid, lackluster campaign that was destined for nothing but overwhelming defeat. A few days ago, you attacked Mr. Hayworth with far more gusto than you ever did Barack Hussein Obama.
Sarah Palin was the only bright spot of your campaign; she is best compared to filet mignon on a sizzling plate at Ruths Chris while you, in many senses of the word, are six-year-old fruitcake. In return for her misplaced loyalty, she was shabbily treated by your campaign operatives like Steve Schmidt (rhymes with) and was cynically thrown to mainstream media wolves like Katie Curic and Charlie Gibson. Why she still remains loyal to you is a total mystery.
To top it off, throughout the primary season, your campaign bombarded me with repeated unwanted requests for money after I had repeatedly said that I had no intention of contributing to you. For the record, I voted for Bob Barr in the general election and would never vote for you or Obama. In fact, the only silver lining of Obamas victory was your defeat.
I sincerely hope that Mr. Hayworth retires you permanently from public life and that you spend plenty of time fully exposed in the Arizona sun (dont waste your wifes money on sun block). Refresh yourself by drinking your fill of her beer and right after you do, be sure to take a long drive in a fast car (400+ horsepower) on a twisty mountain road! Ask her to buy you a Vette or one of those new Camaros. While youre on your drive, screw the speed limit signs the way you have our country.
