There have been cases of politicians steering contracts worth more than $50 mil to a particular company in return for a bribe of less than $10k.
Tax money is nothing to these people.

Similarly Obama trades billions of taxpayer money for millions in donations to fund his never-ending campaigns. Solyndra and their ilk; Hollywood; well, the list in long...he merely applies what he learned in his early days in Chicago on a grander scale.
