Florida Republican Sen. Marco Rubio announced on Thursday night that he would support a continuing resolutiona spending bill that would keep the government funded through the fiscal yearbut only if it strips funding from the Democratic health care law that passed in 2009.
Rubio made the announcement during an interview with radio host Hugh Hewitt, saying he will vote for an amendment to the continuing resolution that defunds the Affordable Care Act. But if that doesn't pass, Rubio said, he won't support the final spending package. (With Democrats in control of the Senate, any move to defund the health care law will be rejected.) The House and Senate must come to an agreement on funding levels by March 27, the date that the last stopgap measure expires, or face a government shutdown.

I can just see our esteem speaker crying over his failure to defund obama care because he has no backbone.
They now think Republican voters are as dumb as the (D) parasites.....expecting these token maneuvers will somehow make the One-Party Elitists get re-Elected and continue the flow of Taxpayer money to funders and lobbyist friends.
Amerika is so out-of-control that no Voting Booth is worth wasting time in....the outcome is known beforehand, and the Constitution has been totally trashed.
I believe as you do. We will wait and see how hard he fights for his position.
He also voted yes on NDAA
Correction...Rand Paul
Rubio is making his statement. What his future plans will be are yet to be seen. It is TIME that young guns like Paul, Rubio and Cruz step up and take a stand agains’t some of the career pols who have no backbone to make REAL changes. I’ll keep watching for now.
Blah, blah, blah. It’s like Pelosi and Reid “granting” permission to vote on an unpopular bill if it will preserve their seat. I imagine that a few of wannabe presidential candidates in the gop will now use this kind of poturing since Rand Pauls’ recent “protest” was so popular with the conservative electorate.
You very well could be correct:o( But what do they care....they have all they need thanks to our money.
