Phew, that was close. Congress may be less popular than colonoscopies and cockroaches, but when it comes to comparing approval ratings between the late Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez and our nation's top lawmakers, Congress manages to edge its way to the top.

Six percent of likely voters in the United States view Chavez favorably, according to a Rasmussen poll conducted after his death. The most recent Rasmussen congressional approval poll, released on Wednesday, shows that just 8 percent think Congress is doing "a good or excellent job."

A “Congressional” approval poll tells me exactly nothing.

Approval numbers for “House Republicans” or “House Democrats” or “Boehner” or “Pelosi” would be much more informative.

The story did not give any reason why so great a percentage of the people favor Congress over Chavez.

Are these polls from people who think Congress is not as socialist as was Chavez?

Are these not the same people who voted in a socialist president?

Come on now, lets get real.

Any one remember how many Americans it takes to change a light bulb?

Propaganda. The incumbency re-election rate shows most people are satisfied with their representative.

This is an attempt to maitre make the Assclown look good by comparison.

Good thing Rand Paul and Ted Cruz helped bring the average up, otherwise horsesh*t would beat congress in popularity.
