Absolutely NOT helpful! Parents have been doing this for 40 years and the system continues to grow worse.
Solution: IMPLODE the system! Remove your children. Elect representatives that will begin the process privatizing of K-12 schooling.
Government schooling is a socialist-funded, single-payer, price-fixed monopoly-cartel. NEVER in the history of mankind has such a system been reformed. Never! It must be imploded by removing its funding. That means removing the children and stopping the funding.
I'm with you there, wintertime. But I will reinterate that PARENTS must get involved. Parents in the past knew what their kids were being taught in school... mothers were active in the PTA. And then mothers went to work outside of the home. Today, you have parents who are into their own worlds, and/or have no time to devote to the education of their children. They've left that job to someone else to do. And so the left saw their opportunity and stepped in, and here we are today.
