False arrest suit should yield substantially.
IMHO gunowners need to be careful. This reminds me of the case where a CCW went to a Costco in Las Vegas NV. He leaned over to get something and a store clerk noticed his concealed pistol. She had a problems with people owning and carrying guns. She simply called the cops claiming a man had a gun and was behaving violently and erractically in the store. The man’s girlfriend and other family members who was with him shopping said he was acting normally. Problem is the cops get a report of angry man with gun. They arrived and waited for the CCW at the store entrance. When he came out, one officer yelled freeze, the other yelled hands up and the other yelled hit the ground. No matter which officer direction he complied, the other two open fired because he did not do what they wanted him to. Result is a dead CCW due to an exaggerated clerk report. IMHO I think the clerk had a idignation of gun ownership and did her part to eliminate another evil gun (and owner). She probably did not care when the CCW owner was shot to death due to her exaggerated report. Today the case is pending the the CCw family must deal with the loss and the video showing the shootout at the entrance was lost.
I think a town council member surmise that the woman was conservative Jew, Tea Party like, thus very likely a gunowner. To teach her a lesson, just report to the cops about a gun threat and put her thru great expense and legal jeopardy thru the legal system just to teach her a lesson.
I tell my son who is in college to keep his mouth shut on politics, because today a stranger can hate you for your viewpoint. Telling them you are a gunowner puts you a great jeopardy because the hater knows no bounds to get you into trouble.
Yep...
Whenever I hear McCain and co. pshaw the likes of Paul raising the possibility of the US Govt turning on it’s citizens, I scream “Waco” at the TV.
“for those freeper morons who still think that “It can’t happen here””
It can’t happen here? With very few, if any exceptions, it has already “happened everywhere.” One of my wife’s HS classmates is a State Senator in Wyoming. He’s a carpetbagger because he didn’t grow up in Wyoming. He admits he’s a RINO because you have to be a “Republican” to get elected, but he’s not even a RINO, but rather an out and out RAT by his own admission. All you folks who are touting Texas as being free from any RAT infestations need to take a look around! For openers, the place where it all starts, education, is a mess in Texas!
