The problem with people leaving those hell holes is they arrive and decide to “upgrade” the area to resemble what they had back there. Yeah, we get some who believe in conservative values and the Constitution but the problem is for everyone of them comes a horde of the lefties who are getting away from high taxes while infused with their lefty bile. For me, prime example is NE Florida. Long a very conservative bastion, today there are carpetbaggers pushing gun control petitions, more EPA style legislation and anti religion rhetoric in any time I can remember.
I like to use the line Flip Wilson used in his Columbus discovers America routine...the natives sitting on the beach saying: go back, go back, we don’t want to be discovered. Whenever I see a vehicle with UofM sticker or Jersey Shore on it, I cringe.

The yankees drive to FL every winter and stop in NC for gas as it is about the halfway mark. Many decide to just stay and send for their things. Then they make a point of getting involved in the local government to tell us how stupid we are, how uneducated we are and what rednecks we are but no worries, they will bring their NY and NJ ideas of civilization to ‘learn us right’.
Of course this is after we have to endure them complaining that they can’t find a good ‘haaaaaaaaahhhhhdddd roll’ anywhere. Ummm....I-77 does run two ways. Pick one and leave.
