RE: Should Cruz commit a crime that has a punishment element that Canada objects to and he flees to Canada, there is no way they would hand over one of their citizens to the USA.

But he is a US citizen, therefore he is under American jurisdiction.

If a US born citizen were to commit a crime and flee to China, and the Chinese like him, there is no way they would hand over the man as well.

He is a citizen of Canada and falls under their jurisdiction when he is within their borders.

They are duty bound to protect their citizens.

It doesn’t have a thing to with “Like”.
