Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) joined Sen. Rand Paul’s filibuster about 12 hours into the marathon, 13-hour speech. Now he’s using the speech as an opportunity to raise funds for his own reelection.
In an e-mail, McConnell asks his supporters to sign a petition declaring, “I stand WITH Rand Paul and Mitch McConnell. They are shining examples of Republican leadership.”
He says he wants his fellow Kentucky Republican to be “overwhelmed with support and thanks for the battles he is fighting.” He also warns that ”President Obama has put a huge target on my back and will no doubt soon start eyeing Rand as well.”

True, although I suspect the nature of the meeting at the White House necessitated McConnell’s presence there. I suspect however, even if McConnell didn’t have someplace he needed to be, he would have preferred not to be involved with this. Apparently, Senator Paul’s campaign manager is now working for McConnell. I’m so disappointed with Mitch, but the alternative Dem to him is going to be preposterous.
I have not seen it anywhere that he was in attendance at the dinner. I have 200 acres in Kentucky and am prepared to donate as much as legally possible and have fundraisers to ensure that the airhead actress is not elected. I remember in 2008 how she attacked Sarah Palin. Judd was against hunting wolves in Alaska and doesn’t bat an eye to killing babies.
He came at the end to offer his support.
There’s no reasoning with liberals regarding abortion. They honestly believe it’s their Satan-given right to murder the unborn.
McConnell was one of the handful of senators who went to the floor to support Rand Paul during his filibuster. Rand Paul said he will support Mitch McConnell for re-election. So, good for McConnell if he can rake in some campaign cash.

She was born in California but claims to have spent her childhood in Kentucky.
She has lately lived mostly in Cal and Scotland where her soon to be ex-husband is from.
The Republican senators who participated in the filibuster with Paul include, Sens. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), Mike Lee (R-Utah), Pat Toomey (R-Penn.), John Thune (R-S.D.), John Barrasso (R-Wy.), Tim Scott (R-S.C.), John Cornyn (R-Texas), Jerry Moran (R-Kan.), Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.), Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and Saxby Chambliss (R-Ga.).
It should be noted that Sen. Mark Kirk (R-Ill.) was in attendance and supported Paul’s filibuster by bringing the senator a thermos and an apple, a likely reference to “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington.” However, Kirk, who recently returned to the Senate after suffering a stroke, did not speak during the filibuster.
The GOP lawmakers at Wednesday’s dinner were Sens. John McCain, Lindsey Graham, Tom Coburn, Kelly Ayotte, Pat Toomey, Bob Corker, Ron Johnson, Saxby Chambliss, John Hoeven, Dan Coats, Richard Burr and Mike Johanns. Toomey, Johnson and Chambliss headed to the Senate floor later that night.

I don’t think so. When I was in Real Estate I was known as the guy that sees the “diamond in the rough” in houses. And regarding people, I know good raw material when I see it. That photo you posted is of a woman that, given the right makeup, hairstyle and facial expression would be gorgeous.
Then again, beauty is only skin deep. I learned that a LONG time ago. It left a mark.
