After closing the doors to public tours in an effort to save money, White House officials haven't yet said if sequester cuts will result in furloughs or layoffs for its senior staffers

...

In the field of energy and climate change alone, President Obama in 2012 employed three advisers making at least $100,000 -- though one has since left.

The president kept on staff a "deputy assistant" for energy and climate change, Heather Zichal, making $140,000; a "special assistant" for energy and environment, Nathaniel Keohane; and a "deputy director" for energy and climate change, Dan Utech.

Together, their salaries totaled over $370,000 last year

The commies don’t seem to be having any problems holding on to their government jobs.

Sequester reductions are for thee, not for me.

Why not they worked hard to earn what they receive.

They pulled the wool over the eyes of an entire nation and continue to do so.

They can offset their salaries by closing the peoples house for tours.

$74,000 a week ought about do it.

I heard the White House caligrapher (fancy lettering done by hand) and two assistants make well over $200,000 combined.

Our fallen soldiers’ families get certificates signed by the Obama autopen.

Looks to me like a real easy way to save over $200K by making the autopen do caligraphy or just getting the software font for Windows.

OBAMA'S MOTTO---"NOTHING FOR YOU---EVERYTHING FOR US"

NRO tallied up the total for the Obamas' cost of living in the White House: $1.4 billion per year: Air Force One ($181,757 per hour), executive chef ($100,000 per year), three full-time White House calligraphers ($ 277,050 per year for the trio), chief of staff to the president’s dog ($102,000 per year), Ohaha's royal motorcade ($2.2 million).

==========================================

The current annual cost of the White House — just in household expenses, not including US policy operations for which the WH exists--administered by some 900 policy staff recruited by Ohaha) — is $1.4 billion:

Annually, Ohaha vacations cost $20 million (the low estimate for one vacay Ohaha took to Hawaii while Moochelle was skiing Aspen) was $4 million, but the true cost is probably five times that); the first family’s yearly health-care costs are $7 million; more than $6 million is spent on the White House grounds each year. Transporting the president cost $346 million last year.

But as Mrs O whined, "America is basically a downright mean sort of place," so the kid's tours will just have to go.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi recently told Chris Wallace on Fox News, "It is almost a false argument to say that we have a spending problem (WRT sequestration)." (And besides, we need trillions to subsidize all our "new citizens" who will vote---and make me Majority Leader, again---not to mention the billions in foreign aid we plan to give to all the countries on the other side of the border.)
