Moscow, March 12, Interfax - The Russia`s Council of Muftis has asked General Director of the Russian Public Television, Anatoly Lysenko, to reserve at least 15% of air time for Islamic-themed programs.

"Muslims currently account for at least 15% of the country's population. And we think that at least 15% of the air time of the Russian Public Television, which is being created, should be dedicated to programs and films on various aspects of the Muslim community's life," the Izvestia newspaper said on Tuesday citing a letter of Ravil Gainutdin, chief of the Council of Muftis, to Lysenko.

Otherwise, the Russian Public Television will not be able to become an adequate information channel on the life of Russian society, Gainutdin said.

"Federal channels don't come to us when we hold largest international and all-Russia events, they say it's boring. We hope that the Russian Public Television will differ from them," the newspaper quoted Deputy Chairman of the Council of Muftis, Rushan Abbyasov, as saying.

Islam teaching to get to new level in Russia - March 5, 2013 - On March 1, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the government has three months to hammer out a single Bachelor’s and Master’s degree program on studying Islam.

Experts underscore the necessity of reviving long-standing traditions of national Islamic theology, a task that may be fulfilled with the help of a single higher education system for Muslims. In this regard, the Russian President’s decision on the matter can be called a landmark move, believes Damir Gizatullin, first deputy head of the Spiritual Directorate of the Muslims of European Russia and Siberia.

"Students will study for three or five years without going abroad, Gizatullin says. Namely, they will get education that will be in line with our long-standing principles of peaceful coexistence, something that remains our cherished dream."

So does that mean that the remaining 85% of Russian Public Television airtime will be devoted to Orthodox Christian theme?

"Muslims currently account for at least 15% of the country's population..."
And they're working hard on getting themselves to that magic 20%.

When you cut down a tree with an axe (which is wedge with a cutting tip) the first blow is followed by many others in the same spot. Russia, the Muslims just took the first whack. 15 % is just to get their foot in the door before they kick it in. I believe Islam is that evil one world religion that is spoken of in Revelation. A truly evil religion when examined under the microscope. It is a perversion of Christianity with significant changes which make it a different thing altogether.

I’m sure the daily police blotter on muslim violence could cover at least 15% of the broadcast.

And so it starts. I wish the Russians well, because a cancer is now contained within. Of course, so it is also with us.

Muslims don’t ask for anything. They make DEMANDS.

And if their demands aren’t met, they turn violent.

(Please to note my tagline)

Look, Mr. Islam, start, finance and establish your own TV station and say whatever you wish. Quit demanding others hand over, don’t you know that constitutes armed robbery?

Except this being Putin's Russia, if they get close to 20%, Putin will have them "reduced" down to a manageable level, which is also how China takes care of their Muslim problem.

Were Russia smart they’d round up that 15% now and deport them.

Hopefully 7-10% would resist and be killed in that process. But out they’d go. All of ‘em.

I thought Muslims believed that television was from the devil? Didn’t Afghans have to bury their TV’s in the yard to hide them from the Taliban?

Russia is an interesting country. They have the balls that America long-ago abandoned. I would not be surprised if not only did this demand go unanswered, but the people who made the demand started dying of natural causes.

I think they can easily deal with it. They are pretty patient bunch but they can feel if it is too much. Good old pogrom is alive and well in mother Russia. Remember a Kondopoda event a few years ago, it had pretty extensive international media coverage. Kondopoga is a small city in NW Russia and it was infested with a ‘refugees’ of all types. Their mass turned critical and they started their sharia crap. One day a Christian or Jewish guy was killed near their restaurant. It was a typical ghetto situation with tons of testimonies from minorities on how is was victim’s own fault. No arrests were made and people in the city has started riots. All muslim homes and businesses were burnt, muzzies, who weren’t fast to get their asses away were smashed.

Russia’s First Muslim TV Channel Goes on Air - August 20, 2012 - Russia’s first public Muslim TV channel, Al-RTV, has hit the airwaves, the Bashinform news portal reported on Monday. Established by Russia’s largest Muslim organizations to promote Islamic religious and spiritual values, Al-RTV so far covers eight Russian regions: Bashkortostan, Tatarstan and six North Caucasus republics.

The channel is controlled by a public council that includes representatives of all of Russia’s large Islamic organizations.

“From day one we started operating as a public TV channel,” Arifdzhanov said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

The channel will be supported by private donations and government grants.

Pogrom! Such a lovely tradition to make diplomacy with any kind of disliked minority. A bunch of Russian rednecks wearing their classic stripped Adidas track-suits in a back of an UAZ pickup truck are actually solving a sharia problem in ‘refugee’ infested areas with ease. Just tell them these bad guys don’t like Jesus and planning to sabotage a vodka&pork supply. You’ll have dozens of volunteers armed with Molotovs, axes, shotguns and weirdly sporterised AKs. Muslims are actually pretty aware of phenomenon. If there are rednecks and trucks in town all the smart ones aren’t busy to pack their bags, they are pushing pedal for a new home. And cops are usually has too much work to respond to a calls of a stupid ones.

Putin Warns Against Ignoring Nationalism - August 24, 2012 - “We have no right to ignore any negative tendencies that appear in this sphere, and we must understand that such conflicts cannot only undermine our statehood, but also shatter its foundations,” Putin said at the first session of the Presidential Council for Interethnic Relations. He said that regional nationalist groups that became active in Russia in recent years “provoke separatist and divisive tendencies in our country.” He blamed the recent violent ethnic clashes, such as in Kondopoga on the Finnish border and on the Manezhnaya Square in Moscow, on inaction by law-enforcers and irresponsibility by local officials.

I think if Putin is about to push it further it will be a point where his policy will finally crash.
Soviets could sell Russians multiculturalism as it was simply a weird music and costumes on minorities at the time. It was ok, but it was ‘Mother fkn Russia, who made a union of all you thankless inferior dumb peoples!’ That was almost a direct quote from Soviet national anthem.
An idea was ‘We Russians shown you running water and plumbing, we introduced you, camel jockeys and goat lovers, to light bulbs, motor vehicles and socialized healthcare, we saved your dumb arses from evil Joose and Amerikans so you has to say thanks to great Russian people daily’.
It was backed by propaganda with an idea ‘you see American mainstream organization KKK is hanging minorities but we are only spitting on you and giving you a privilege to do a jobs Russians won’t do’. What was actual Soviet motto towards multiculturalism which was totally fake in Western terms there.
Do you really think these people are about to get crap from muslims?
To make things worse all Russians are paranoid. I mean all of them both sexes starting from the age they start to understand they are Russians. An idea of alien military or cultural domination is a nightmare they can’t live with.
If one of alien, let alone inferior in their opinion culture, is about to teach Russians what to eat of drink or how to dress their daughters (sharia), one is asking to get same treatment a mental patient with scissors can offer to a careless nurse.
