destabilize, destabilise verb

(Government, Politics & Diplomacy) (Economics) (tr) to undermine or subvert (a government, economy, etc.) so as to cause unrest or collapse

Somewhere along the way "establishing" or something like it got translated to "destabilising".

But an interesting article nonetheless.

I thought it was going to be an article about countermeasures to UAV attack.

I belive “destabilizing” is correct. The reference is to them destabilizing the balance of power in the region, and altering the ability of the US to conduct naval operations in the China Sea with impunity.

An increasingly well-armed, belligerent and aggressive China is not a good thing.
