The federal government should stop enforcing the Controlled Substances Act, with its draconian definition of marijuana, in Washington and Colorado, which voted last November to legalize and tax the growing and sale of cannabis, House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi told interviewers Monday.
“The state (Colorado) has spoken: The law has been passed. There are issues with taxation and regulation, and we should get on with it,” Pelosi told the editorial board of the Denver Post.

Several comments:
1) Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.
2) Nan has not awakened to the Tenth Amendment, Enumerated Powers, and States Rights, despite her support here.
3) She’s balancing political constituencies, and thinks it’s a Dem win to support this.
4) She smells money. The ability to tax... she may not want to destroy, but she would wish to come close. She’d like to keep pot legal but pricey. Why not capture the drug criminals’ revenues for the government?

The question is, from their point of view, is the money involved better directed at Mexican cartels and criminal clients (including bankers) or directly via taxes to the US Treasury? Has anyone asked the CBO?

How'cum Notsi Nantcie didn't voice the same sentiment when Arizona passed it's own laws to protect it's own citizens and enforce it's own border?

Pelosi is probably thinking about all the money she could make by growing pot on her farm land in Napa. She has an insatiable desire to increase her wealth.
Someone should tell her to advocate that about states which have (or are about to) pass laws that firearms can be made and distributed in the state of manufacture without any Federal intervention.

No state can legalize pot. There is no country in the world where pot is legal. Makes me sick when I see this kind of writing.

I might also note that the ATF, FBI, DEA and the DoJ are in violation of the RICO Act for Fast and Furious. Put those criminal scumbags in prison.
I am not not advocating it but where in the hell did you get this in the Constitution?
I don't smoke it, and I don't believe for a second that any kids started smoking it because of this law either. It has been widely available for a long time, and the punishment for personnel use wasn't going to keep people from smoking it. It's mild enough that I have no problem with it being legal.
