WASHINGTON — Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood told The Daily Caller that his department is “making reductions everywhere” to deal with the sequester, including furloughing Federal Aviation Administration workers.

But less than seven months ago, LaHood said he was “very proud” of putting 65,000 people to work with $48 billion in federal stimulus funds — a figure that amounted to $738,461 per job. (RELATED VIDEO: LaHood boasts of DOT stimulus spending)

On Tuesday TheDC asked LaHood why his agency is closing as many as 238 air traffic control towers instead of cutting its $179 million travel budget.

I think Ray LaHood has been more active pushing Obama’s Marxist agenda through the DOT AFTER he officially “retired” than the four years he was in charge during Obama’s first term. At this rate, LaHood’s successor will take over around 2048 or so.

In August 2007, LaHood received a 0% rating from the conservative and anti-earmark Club for Growth 2007 RePORK Card.[12] He received an 11% rating from the conservative lobbying group Citizens Against Government Waste in August 2007, and holds a lifetime 49% rating from the group.[13]
In 2007 LaHood considered, but later decided against, applying for the post of president of Bradley University.[5]
During the 2008 presidential election, LaHood supported John McCain, but criticized the rallies being held by McCain’s vice presidential nominee, Sarah Palin, saying she should put a stop to the name calling, and that the tactic could backfire. “This doesn’t befit the office that she’s running for. And frankly, people don’t like it,” he said.[14][15]

One of the most despicable Republican hacks EVER....from Illinois (the Obama connection) where corruption is a way of life. Illinois Dems vetted his appointment to Obama admin.
He has to be getting mega-kickbacks etc with his DOT honcho job just trace back to DOT contracts awarded in Illinois. My theory at least

Anytime a politician accepts a job in his enemy’s administration, you know he’s a scum.

$48 billion in federal stimulus funds

That urinated away money would have stopped the entire Sequestration for all services in the Dept of Defense for this year.

My business is transportation. If I write what I feel about LaHood, I’m sure to go to hell.

Doubt that, however you may be subject to a full body cavity search at the airport and denied boarding a plane due to being put on the no fly list....
