Eliot Spitzer co-hosting fundraiser for Ed Markey

Eliot Spitzer, the former New York governor-turned-TV-host who’s often rumored to be looking at an electoral comeback, is co-hosting a fundraiser for Rep. Ed Markey’s Senate run in Massachusetts.

The event is at the home of Spitzer’s sister, Emily, in Washington on March 13, according to an invitation obtained by POLITICO.

Spitzer and his wife, Silda Wall, are listed on the host committee-in-formation. It’s one of a small number of fundraisers Spitzer has been involved with since he stepped down from the governor’s office in March 2008 amid scandal.
