” I have an ex-step-sister for example, who has been mentally retarded from birth. She has a custodian. She may not drive. Yet I have seen no significant abuse of that system. Are you telling me, that she should be free to bear a firearm anywhere she chooses?”
Perhaps this issue has long ago been addressed? I wonder if the legal concept of “minor” as compared to “adult” already covers the issue of a retarded adult, who is the ward of a non-retarded adult having the right to own/carry a firearm.
IIRC, in most states, a minor does not have the gun rights of an adult.
Would not the responsible adult carry the liability if the ward shot someone? Is there a lawyer in the house?
Nah, GladesGuru, the simple minded are buying ammo, guns and God, at a break neck pace. Been going on for years. By the by, good to see you around. Been a while.
