But Chinese farmers dumped the carcasses of over 6000 diseased dead pigs into that river, a river that supplies the drinking water for Shanhai.

Indeed. The word "swine" is appended to "flu" for a reason. My grandfather died in the "big flu" pandemic after WWI, leaving my 4 year old mother in the care of my great-grandmother (his wife had pre-deceased him).

Another one of those will NOT be pretty in this age of rapid travel and leaky borders.

Were I with the CDC, I'd have scientists one the next plane to get samples.
