How do we defend the child porn vs gun types argument? To me it is just common sense that child porn is bad and gun types are not any more deadly than another.

Do we say that child porn is equal to bazookas (which we can't own)? I am wondering everyone's thoughts here.

If you have no ultimate basis for truth, there is no valid way to say that child porn is bad and gun ownership is good.

The only way to be able to say that is to have an ultimate objective reference.

With a Biblical worldview, it’s really clear and easy to show where child porn is evil and personal defense is righteous.

read post 91. Would have been cool if Cruz would have done that!

The trick is to think through all the possible counter arguments before you speak. Not that hard to do. Like playing chess.

It's simple.

The porn absolutely requires the abuse of children and is an obvious infringement of their rights. The producer's right to free speech is trumped by the rights of the children.

The proper ownership of any firearm, on its own, does not infringe on anyone’s rights. Even withdrawn a properly stored “bazooka”.

Yes, a firearm CAN be used to infringe on someone’s right. But so can a knife, a nailgun, gasoline, rope, kitchen chemicals, etc, etc, etc. The largest mass murder in modern history by an individual was committed with 1 gallon of gasoline!
