I believe it's usual for people to stand upon the President entering and leaving a room.

It could be this is what happened. I wouldn't be surprised if the reason Karl reported it this way is only to get conservatives spitting fury. Don't forget the MSM LOVES to do this...and laughs.

I believe there comes a time, after a long string of abuses, one (or many) should cast aside tradition and custom and do what is right.

I'd rather my wife yell and scream than be silent.

The republicans (spit) should be silent and even turn their backs
