Don’t you have to have names to do that? I don’t think we have any. Families are going to have to start reporting people missing and such.

I’m not sure that you do have to have names. I think that there were people filing them over unknown gitmo detainees a few years back. I don’t know though. You could be right.

"Around thirty" people, if initial reports are to be believed, are being held incommunicado. All of them presumably have families -- wives (or husbands), children, mothers, fathers, etc.

Yet not a single person has raised his voice -- or contacted anybody who has spoken out.

This is a strong indication that some serious threats have been made. Or that money has changed hands in return for secrecy.

All of which serves to deepen the mystery. Clearly, there IS a cover-up going on. And, just as clearly, the affair is deeply incriminating -- a scandal of potentially monstrous proportions. But what, exactly, is being covered up?

It's a shame there is no longer any taste for investigative journalism in the press...
