Now that Democrats have released a budget fro the first time in four years, we can finally compare.
Phil Klein compares cumulative deficits, and has a great write-up at the link:
The Washington Post offers this comparison of the budgets:
TOPICS: Business/Economy; Culture/Society; Government; News/Current Events
KEYWORDS: budget; congress; house; senate

Same old song and dance. The democrats don't care about the bill because "someone else will pay" it. The republicans pretend to care about the bill, but their best plan requires that the next five congresses willingly bind themselves to it without alteration. These are equally impossible scenarios. At least the democrats have given up on the false pretense. The republican approach is insulting to our intelligence. "We the People" have a novel idea : quit spending money you don't have ... TODAY.

And with the bond rate bubble will go the interest rate bubble.
And then the annual interest payment on the federal debt will skyrocket from 350 billion to over 700 billion the amount of the entire defense budget. All of it going down the tubes in interest payment on an “interest only” loan.
