I would rate Georgia quite a bit ahead of Florida and Alabama.
I am a native of Florida and have lived in Alabama and Georgia. It is far less trouble (and expense) to get your concealed carry in Georgia plus Florida has a really annoying 3 day wait to pick up your handgun.
I have never been denied a concealed permit in Alabama and it is inexpensive but it is totally up to the sheriff’s whim. When I got my first permit in Alabama the sheriff had been routinely denying them until the Sportsman’s Association told him they were going to get him defeated if he didn’t start issuing them. He then started issuing them.
I might mention that I do not have a Florida CCW. I believe I would easily qualify but just do not want to pay the money. I do have one for Alabama but am not sure if it would be recognized by Florida or not.
