An elderly Roxbury nun buying tickets to the annual Lenten Fish Dinner on Mission Hill had the money stolen as soon as she pulled it out of her wallet.
A hand came in and took my money, Sister Alice Kenneally, 85 told the Herald. I told him to give it back, but he said he didnt take it. But I saw it right in his hand. I said I see it. Thats mine.
The man ran away still clutching her money and a secretary at the Mission Church on Tremont Street called police. The nun was not hurt during the run in.

The Lord forgives many things. But I would give him 25 lashes with a cat’o nine tails, wash out the wounds with salt water and then apply a salve of quicklime.
“no justice, no peace”...maybe Avi will talk about this on his program tomorrow.
Stealing from a nun——lower than cesspool slime. Sure to get a few gold stars on devils report card.
And a loud round of applause from libs.
Not too long ago if someone stole from a nun on the street in Boston, people would converge on the thief and beat him into incontinence. Then when the police arrived, they would take over. And heaven help him if there were any Irish mob about.
Saw a car with a MA license plate in my little God fearing midwestern city today. I thought about having it towed..
Stealing from anyone makes one lower than cesspool slime.
Not to defend the crook but did he know she was a nun?
Unless she was in a habit or had a sign on her back identifying her as a nun, he had no idea. To him she was just a defenseless little old lady and an easy mark.
My first home visit to the Mission Hill project there resulted in an armed robbery and the social worker who was training me almost got raped. Needless to say if I had a bleeding heart (and I didn't) that wound was closed up fast.
I used to live on Mission Hill — early 1980s. Not a good place. Housing was cheap, but it wasn’t worth it.
It’s now gentrified, I hear, but let the yuppies take a crack at it.
He must have needed it so much if he took it from me. Maybe he wont take it from someone else, she said. I wasnt really scared, but I did think it was awful. Maybe he needed it, and if he did, I forgive him.
How does one build a just society with constituents like Sister Kenneally?
Sorry, Sister, but you're probably just one in a very long line that he's taken from and will continue to take from.
Obamaland.
So sad.
Don't assume. About 35% of us vote Republican every time. Doesn't mean all are conservative, of course, but SOME of us are. ;o)
Roxbury is a nasty, racist place.
My apologies, I know there are a few left:) I meant it in a humorous sort of way. I was born in MA and fled the state at age 19. Keep up the good fight!
Don’t assume.

Sorry, since MA gave us the Kennedys - the ‘slime’ that they KEPT giving us, Barney Frank, Elizabeth Warren, John Kerrey - just to name a few and throw in my ‘exwife’, I have absolutely no pity on MASS or its citizens....and question the ‘need’ for the State as a whole.....<: <: <:
OTOH, they did keep sending the ‘dregs’ out of state but that is for their own benefit NOT MINE.....
