The Uriminzokkiri website, linked to the regime, mentioned targets including Yeonpyeong island, which was attacked by Northern forces in 2010.
Pyongyang has made a series of threats since its last nuclear test in February prompted the UN to tighten sanctions.
The US said on Friday it would refocus missile defences to its west coast to counter the North's threats.
Defence Secretary Chuck Hagel said 14 more batteries would be placed in Alaska by 2017, adding to 30 already in place along the coast.

“(News Focus) Three years after naval vessel sinking, N. Korea poses greater security threat”
By Park Boram
SNIPPET: “SEOUL, March 17 (Yonhap) — Three years after North Korea’s deadly attack on a South Korean Navy ship in the Yellow Sea that killed 46 sailors, the communist country has ratchet up tensions and is posing a much greater security threat to Seoul along the sea demarcation line that separates the two Koreas.”
Of course no one wants war. But that is what we will get.
China is still not ready for that war with us, and not over a smoldering NK.
But don’t worry, no one will consider this and it will be too late. It probably already is. I hear China is giving NK mobile missile launchers to survive a first strike.
I am of the mind that WHEN we get attacked it will be very difficult to determine who did it.
A likely scenario is a launch from a cargo ship. The ship self-destructs and sinks in deep water after the attack. No one takes “credit” but a large portion of the world rejoices that the US has been dealt such a devastating blow.
Your scenario is very plausible, but given modern scientific methods, I don’t think it will be that difficult to attribute blame (assuming the govmint want to find the perps).
Remember we pulled a Russian sub off a deep ocean bottom back in the 70s.
I think we could EVENTUALLY attribute blame, but with most of the country having no power, our financial system in shambles, and a good chunk of the population facing starvation, it might not be our top priority, right away...
I must have misunderstood what type of attack you were describing. I thought it was a rogue nuke into NY, DC or LA.
Wiping out the US power grid would be a comprehensive strike for sure.
According to my contacts, our power grid is vulnerable. An EMP burst over the western US would likely trigger a cascade that would cripple the entire grid.
