Dems ARE big business just as Repubs are - ever hear about Nancy Pelosi’s tuna plant ?
Both parties in Congress are beholden to big financial interests; Dems being “against” business is a lie they tell their “rank and file”.
They may go through motions as a “show”, but they’ll conveniently announce their inspector’s entrance at the front door with a delay in getting to the back door so their big supporters have time to “relocate”, i.e., switch to the “new strategy”.
The reason I excluded Republicans from my comment is that it is the liberals, mostly democrats, that control the regulatory bureaucracy. If Obama orders this ship boarded, it will happen immediately. If say GWB or any republican would give that order, the liberal bureaucrats would be throwing sand in the gears of the bureaucratic machinery to prevent it. That’s the lesson I took from the Valerie Plame Affair.
