Colorado Democratic Rep. Rhonda Fields, whose bill to ban ammunition magazines that hold more than 15 rounds ignited an ongoing firestorm of protest and which could cost the state jobs if a manufacturer of such equipment makes good on its promise to move to another state, didnt realize that her bill would outlaw practically every magazine currently for sale in the state.
Thats because the bill specifies that magazines that can be readily converted to hold more than 15 bullets will also be outlawed.
Practically every magazine on the market can be easily converted with readily available extenders, as demonstrated in a video posted by John Caldera, the president of the libertarian Independence Institute.
Caldera demonstrates the ease with which the standard 15-round magazine for his Glock 19 pistol can be converted to hold 17 rounds by removing the base plate and installing the extender. Practically all magazines have removable base plates so that they can be cleaned.

I’m sorry....but.....what the hell makes anyone think...
that these leftists didn’t or don’t ‘realize’ what is actually in the bills they propose and what the far-reaching results will be?
Seriously.
They know damned well what’s in the bill.
Isn’t it time for those of us on the right to grasp the reality that all of this leftist intrusion upon our freedoms is quite deliberate and quite intentional?
Yes, they would be our Lords, and have us be their serfs.
And a majority of voters are willing to sell their birthright - their God given liberties - for a bowl of porridge.
Has Magpul made a decision on a move yet?
Bill Maher made a comment Friday that his benefactor and hero Barack Obama should sit up and take notice of.
Speaking about the taxes the rich pay particularly in California, the host of HBO's Real Time said, "Liberals - you could actually lose me" (video follows with transcribed highlights and commentary):
From newsbusters.
Head guy for Magpul said he would move if they passed this. Pol’s said he was bluffing. But Magpul Industries Corp was founded in 1999 by Richard M. Fitzpatrick, a Sergeant of the United States Marine Corps Force Reconnaissance.
My take is Mr. Fitzpatrick does not bluff.
I’ll put $5 on MagPull leaving, too.
I guess they too have to be shipped out of state or hidden.
Rumor has it that Magpul is looking at the indsutrial park in Cheyenne. Makes sense so their employees could carpool up I-25 while they make arrangements to move. They should run a “Freedom Bus” every day and decorate it with anti-Democrat slogans.... :)
