Anybody who changes their position when it is a relative:
1) Has not been thinking.
2) Does not belong in a policy position where he/she can favor said relative on that or some other issue.
Resign or Pull chain. Flush.
Back in the good old days government ministers helped their relatives first. That's not the way it's supposed to be done these days
