Expected by whom? The "experts" at the Ass. Press? Karl Rove? Steve Schmidt? The DNC?

I think she meant the party needs to broaden its audience, not its message.

Have there been conservatives who wanted to deny freedom and liberty to those who didn’t agree with us?

I don’t get why that would need to be said.

"We must leave no American behind," she said in a populist speech that electrified supporters at a conservative summit in suburban Washington. "And we must share our powerful message of freedom and liberty to all citizens - even those who may disagree on some issues."

It is a good message, and may have also been a dig at Romney's dismissal of half of American's as beneath his presidential concerns.

It is a good message, but any fair minded person knew what Romney meant - the writer here is intentionally misinterpreting him.

Understanding how the democrats motivate their base to vote - here for more 'revenue' - is imperative. We cannot let the media bully those who would be honest about it into silence.

Sarah tells it like it is.

No D.C. B.S. With Her!

Let us not forget Communist Goal Number: 15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.

This is NOT a Republican or Democrat thing, 100% Treacherous Marxism has completely infected the Democrats and the Republicans sit idealy by and watch and/or HELP it.

They are the Party of Goverment.

But a Nation is More than it's Government, that is what we need to restore and that is what Sarah is saying here!

Nice try, but it was a weird and creepy thing to say that made no sense and showed not only how out of touch he is, but how indifferent he is to at least half of American citizens, that is why he apologized for it and no one can define what the 47% is.

Very Well said in that thread Cripple.

Detirot and Michigan in General is a Prime Example of Progressive Locust, they come to the greatest Manufacturing Center in the World, Eat it, and promptly leave and foot the bill to the Citizens who are still there and go and Corrupt another state.

However the Citizens who are left in that state now thumb their noses at Liberal Polices, thus turning a once blue state red.

We have similar occurrences on why my Friends from Lithuania HATE Communism and Communists, they have lived it, they don't want it anymore.

That is why we shouldn't give up on Detroit, that is why we need to stop playing this stupid Game that the Republicans and Democrats have been making us play like an Organ Grinders Monkey.

No More!

It was obvious he was referring to voters and his campaign's strategy, not 'dismissing' Americans as beneath his consideration.

But I guess you can interpret him anyway you like.

It was clear that he was dismissing half of the American people, but the problem was in defining his 47%, he never could, you can’t either.

Aside from politics, many conservatives and Americans of all stripes blanched at yet another glimpse into Romney’s exotic isolation from Americanism “[M]y job is not to worry about those people. I’ll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives.”.

Not exactly Reaganesque.

Sure, it is so obvious and clear that you could, but you just choose not to... very convincing.

Bingo! Either willfully, or through ignorance they have misrepresented what she said with that headline. What she said was to take the message to a broader audience, not to just preach to the choir.

She's expected to play a limited role in the future of the GOP

Well the future of the GOP is based on the people who support and vote for it- not the people who run the show. If the people who support and vote for the GOP care about what Sarah Palin has to say, well that means she has an influence on the future of the GOP.
