Lots of posters direct their remarks to the person who is speaking inside the quote marks or in the italics indicating that the comment came from the article. And when replying to the article itself, most freepers direct it to Post 1; but their reply is to the comment within the article, not to the poster who authored Post 1.

Exactly. And I did use italics and direct my post to the poster who authored post #1.

Ironically, Jyotishi quotes from articles also as can be seen here in post# 11 but did not use italics. Which makes it even more puzzling why he/she would assume I was attributing the quote to anyone but the author of the article.
