Exactly right. But the lesson will be lost on the libs, who are already calling for a stricter ban on teens drinking alcohol. No sense at all of what this thing was really about.
If anything of what I’ve read is correct, this sounds like it was definitely premeditated and included both adult (including coaches and parents) aid and the procurement of date-rape drug. It also sounded like another girl says she was raped by this group and anonymous claims to have witnesses who indicate that there was a room especially intended for these rapes.
Again, I don’t know what is true out of what is being claimed. But if the girl can’t remember anything from the time she got to the party, that doesn’t sound like she got drunk there; that sounds like she was drugged as soon as she got there. The fact that she was taken to the party by the same guy who raped her - who was best friends with a guy who 2 weeks earlier had said that he would destroy her - also doesn’t sit well.
Teen drinking is already illegal. How do you have a stricter ban? Tougher consequences? Teen drinking is stupid and dangerous, but in this instance it sounds like teen sex (and then breaking up) was what actually incited this premeditated crime. Maybe teen sex should be banned and strict consequences imposed.
Ah, but that would put Planned Parenthood out of business along with all the power-mongering that the pro-aborts get from defending promiscuity and ensuring that there are (supposedly) no long-term consequences for promiscuity. It would require that morality be taught in the schools rather than schools being accomplices to the mindset and the practicality of “getting away with” promiscuity - and that would never do, because the communists know that America will fall if we stop being a moral people, and that is their goal.
The trouble with communism and liberalism is that real life preaches against them. Whatever “crisis” comes up that they use to try to rally for their cause, it ends up with the wilfully ignorant and/or stupid going along with it, but people sitting on the border between stupid and educable peeling off because they see real life. A conservative is a liberal who was mugged.
I hope this situation leads to soul-searching. Unfortunately, once the media and politicians grab hold of the issue, any genuine soul-searching will be crowded out by excuses or distractions.
