This is the state (Maryland) whose legislature and Governor are about to eliminate the death penalty, while proposing among the strictest gun-control legislation.

This would be considered the ".50 BMG" of bourbons (note the proof):
Nice (if obvious) satire.

“...8,583 Americans who are victims of firearms murders...”
Not mentioning that the vast majority of the firearms victims are gang bangers as are the offenders. That even though they are only about 10% of the population, the majority of murder victims are black.

You can't share your alcohol with others (that would constitute a "straw purchase").
Throwing a party where alcohol is served would be impossible without a licensed bartender to check permits and dispense beverages.
Anything over 24 oz. of beer or 4 oz. of distilled spirits would put you over the legal limit and constitute "excess capacity".
Once you've register as an active drinker your alcohol storage unit is subject to inspection at any time without notice. Can't keep it in your fridge, of course, that's not secure enough.
making your own alcohol is illegal without a license.

Many years ago, one had to have a license to buy liquor at the state liquor dispensary in Idaho. I remember my grandfather having to have a neighbor buy his annual bottle of Christmas brandy for him. So it has been done before.

Gun control is like trying to reduce drunk driving
by making it tougher for sober people to own cars.
Ted Kennedy’s car killed more people than any of my pistols.
