Marine with concealed carry permit stops man from beating woman

A Wisconsin Marine Corps veteran used a concealed weapon to stop a man on the street from nearly kicking his ex-girlfriend to death on Tuesday. Charlie Blackmore was driving home from work at 4:00 am when he spotted the woman on the ground being kicked in the head and stomach by her much larger ex-boyfriend. The Marine veteran said he jumped out of his car and ran over to shake off the suspect. ‘I said “stop” and he starts coming towards me and that’s when I drew on him. He started getting closer and I said “get down on the ground,”’ Blackmore told Fox 6 in Milwaukee, noting that Wisconsin’s concealed carry law allowed him to do so.

If the Marine did not pull the trigger, it doesn’t go into the statistics as a successful defensive gun use. Still, this is one of the many things I like about Marines - unlike congresscritters the vast majority of Marines are always faithful (Semper Fi).

I wonder what help the girls from Handgun Control would prefer in this situation: a Marine with a gun, or a limp-wrist lawyer with a protection order. I’ll take the Marine, if I’m not armed at the time.

The West Allis police chief told the news network that these types of situations are case by case judgement calls for gun owners.

He said that while the police department does not encourage others to do the same, he appreciates citizens looking out for each other when they do it legally and are willing to accept the consequences.

Government union PC dork. Screw you, the guy's a hero.

The vet was fortunate the police didn't take him down, particularly since he had his gun drawn. Some police don't support citizen right-to-carry laws. And in those states where it is allowed, try walking down the street with a holstered gun in sight and see how long it is before you are challenged by police (or worse).

Notice how a positive concealed carry story has to cross the ocean to get published?

The perp is lucky that the Marine didn’t put a round in his kneecap or in his Butt.
