Look at this:

Dems preserve US-Mexico food stamp 'partnership,' while USDA prepares for meat inspector furloughs

I know it is fashionable to trash Federal employees, but in the name of all that is good, why is it our nation is taking money out of the paycheck of some GS-07 making about $35,000 a year and who works, but we give money hand over fist to the undeserving and the do-nothings?

This is almost conspiracy theory material here. What the hell is going on?

I blame Obama for being a Homosexual Marxist who is destroying the country, and I blame the Republicans for abandoning our nation's military and mocking their sacrifice. Every time you hear a supposed "Conservative" like Cruz who mocked the effects of Sequestration during CPAC, it is a shameful act.

We reward the takers, and punish the noble.

"All this welfare just allows people to stay in economically dead areas and rot a bit more comfortably. Under normal the circumstances we used to know, they'd have left Rhode Island for Texas or the Dakotas to look for work."

^This!^

This is what people do not understand. This is the real problem with welfare. Think about the Dust Bowl. If a region or town's economy changes, meanwhile another area has a booming economy and needs employees, we should encourage economic migration. Welfare destroys the economy of both locations.

I’m sometimes tempted to ask the EBT holder if I can put a few of my groceries on her tab...since I’m paying for the “$$” on that card.

"He had ordered 150 pounds of the tenderloin steak favored by the newly poor, still clinging to old habits".

Tenderloin steak. A.K.A., Filet Mignon. Just damn.

we should encourage economic migration

Heh. When I occasionally get into a heated argument with a liberal [I usually try to avoid that; it's not good for the heart], I'll mention that New York's welfare agencies should offer $5000 for moving and temporary living expenses to Texas and a select list of other states till the recipient has found a new job in his new home.

The outrage at that suggestion is a thing to behold. I'll just never get it.
