Congressman Leonard Lance (R-NJ) has come out and demanded that Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano explain why the Department of Homeland Security has been engaging in huge amounts of purchases of ammunition over the past year. Rep. Lance has called on Congress to get involved in ascertaining DHS’ stockpiling of ammunition which is enough to wage a 20 year plus war, which has most certainly caused a shortage in the public market.
“I think Congress should ask the Department about both of those issues and I would like a full explanation as to why that has been done and I have every confidence that the oversight committee ….should ask those questions,” said Lance.
“Congress has a responsibility to ask Secretary Napolitano as to exactly why these purchases have occurred,” added the New Jersey congressman.
Lance said the he was “concerned” and that he wanted to make sure that Americans continued to live in a country that was based upon freedom and individual rights. He also hoped that DHS would step forward and answer the question candidly.
Congressman Lance is not the only representative in Washington asking ‘Big Sis’ why she is purchasing large amounts of ammunition. 1,600,000,000 bullets divided by 330,000,000 people in the USA, equals nearly 5 bullets for every man, woman and child in America.
It’s obvious, they’re pulling bullets from the market to make them unavailable and unaffordabe. It’s evil and insidious.
Well, there are almost 80 million dogs too.
One thought I’ve had is that they’re stockpiling in anticipation of the signing of the UN treaty which might well force the closure of many munitions plants.

I just came from buying some reloading supplies. The effect on these purchases is killing me financially. Lead shot is like gold used to be.

They won’t shoot everyone. They’ll save the 1%, the politician class, the gummint workers, enough peasants to serve them all, and enough able-bodied gay men and women to defend the government from the people who come to rescue the peasants.
So, that gives them 8 or 9 bullets each for the rest of us.
The only good part is that I have a critical infrastructure job, so I might get to watch the LIVs, Useful Idiots, Agitators, Anarchists, and ObamaPhone owners go up against the wall before they come for me.

I’m more interested in why government agencies and departments that have no reason to purchase ammo are doing so and why are they making purchases from fake ammo companies. We know of one such fake company so there’s bound to be many more. Who’s wallet did those tax dollars disapear into?
Instead of demanding an explanation, the House should simply defund the purchase.
Let’s see what the House does. Just keep blabbering for publicity or actually defund any and all such purchases.
Hmmmm. Maybe sending it to Syria? Maybe covert operations elsewhere to support left-wing rebels/governments?
