Family says NJ overreacted to boy's gun photo

The ruddy-cheeked, camouflage-clad boy in the photo smiles out from behind a pair of glasses, proudly holding a gun his father gave him as a present for his upcoming 11th birthday.

The weapon in the photo, posted by his dad on Facebook, resembles a military-style assault rifle but, his father says, is actually just a .22-caliber copy. And that, the family believes, is why child welfare case workers and police officers visited the home in Carneys Point last Friday and asked to see his guns.

This is a good lesson. How many of us have the ability to get a lawyer, who is expert in the Second Amendment, on the phone during an incident? The Regime in all its faces is moving on the battlefield.

So government, instituted to protect rights, has become the biggest enemy of those rights....

Lovely....

This is why you keep your lawyer in speed dial.

Stand in the doorway, demand a warrant while taking pictures and nameses and start to recite the 1st, second, and fourth amendments to them. Between each one ask where’s your warrant? Get your cell phone out and dial any attorney, he has the ability to get this stopped even if it means getting someone he knows who is a specialist on this to do the followup.

God makes no mistakes and all of the situations and contacts were aligned for this ti happen just the way it did, so everyone could learn from how this was handled.

Yes and how much money do you have to spend just to prove you were wronged? Lose your house, maybe your life savings? You’re never gonna get the state to pay you back. Damn all the bastards who support these laws that strangle the tax paying citizen and allow government to !@(#* with you in every way they can without mercy.
Meanwhile these rooster-suckers have armed security and live behind gates.

The gun laws these tyrants are running to pass into law just feeds their power and keeps their lawyer friends in business, all the while snuffing out our rights like many of the drug laws.

There will be another Waco or Ruby Ridge because of these over zealous bureaucrat police state assholes will beat their chest to show how serious they are over enforcing their big bad gun laws and do some raid to justify their existence, and will mess around and take on the wrong person/people.

The NRA does have a program for these cases.

I’m wondering about the “justification” for this; does NJ have some weird law prohibiting minors from supervised access to guns?

Actually I am starting to think people who pull such stunts as happened here, need to be brought out into the open.

Anonymous reports that cause a public panic or illegal infringement of Rights cannot be permitted to stand.

To me and I am sure to this family, it was like someone yelling fire in a crowded theater.

Whoever “reported” this is responsible for causing a public panic and nuisance. They need to be brought up on charges. We need to not only fight back against the government types, but we need to hold anonymous idiots to account as well. And there are laws to do just that ranging from: public panic, harassment, nuisance laws and slander.

We need to find out who ordered this.

They have no business being in a just government.

It was reported the father is "a National Rifle Association firearms instructor, range safety officer and New Jersey hunter education instructor." That probably had a lot to do with the courtesy he received. (By courtesy I mean, not handcuffing him, not arresting him for being uncooperative, not shooting his dog, not confiscating his property, etc.) They already knew he was not a dangerous lunatic.

The person who ordered it you can bet has a gun and/or is protected by people who have guns. Every time.

Did they attempt to subdue them by using the Reno method?

You know, we’re getting a bunch of the bad government today because no one was held accountable for Waco. It set the precedent that the sheep will just sit idly by. Then throw in some whack job like McVeigh to use it for a cause, and any discussion is over. Sonny Bono made about the most noise...until he croaked.
