Sure but size is quite limited in proving minimum gestational age..... not quite as limited as outside the womb but still quite arbitrary. And certainly the other ‘proofs’ are quite limited as well.... especially since one can't really get a good look at these other aspects until the baby is outside of the womb and dead.

According to the report, “the neonatologist testified that what Gosnell told his people was absolutely false. If a baby moves, it is alive. Equally troubling, it feels a ‘tremendous amount of pain’ when its spinal cord is severed.

On that criterion alone, abortion should not be allowed after a few weeks. I was able to feel my second one moving around at 3.5 months, but he certainly was moving before then.

The nervous system begins to form at around 3 weeks after fertilization. It is reasonable to think that the baby starts to feel--maybe not as acutely as later on--around that time.

Of course, if it were up to me, all women using abortion for birth control would be given full information before, and be shown the dead child after. That would go a long way towards reducing repeat abortions (more 2nd, 3rd, and more abortions take place than 1st abortions).

In the grand jury report from Jan. 19, 2011, it states that Baby Boy A was born to a 17-year-old girl who went to Gosnell’s office with her aunt. Gosnell charged $2,500 for the abortion.

A question for those who oppose parental notification laws. Where would a young teenage girl get the money to pay for her abortion? From an adult male who impregnated her in the first place?

Its a court case. To the layman (like me) size is a very relateable metric.

They aren’t teaching medical students - they’re trying to win a case.

And let me tell you, hearing that a baby s too big for his arms and legs to fit in a shoebox paints a very vivid mental picture for me.

I think the prosecutors are doing a good job. Their goal is convicting this monster. Nothing else matters.

I agree...not only should women seeking abortion be SHOWN one as it happens but they should HAVE to take their murdered CHILD for humane services. Its not a tumor or a tonsil to be flushed or trashed. It has a FACE. Human beings are pregnant with HUMAN BEINGS. Its all too sanitized for the womans “feelings”-and I`m saying this as a woman. If you can see what happens and what you will be killing and STILL want to do it,you are a monster and have no business reproducing at all. OWN UP to what abortion is...say “ I made it and I want to KILL my baby” then take what you made and killed and pay to bury it at least as decently as you would a pet. Abortionists and murderous `mothers` should be sterilized and prosecuted...then rot in hell forever.

I quite agree.

I found some website where abortionists and their support staff expressed various sentiments about their bloody vocation. One abortionist actually said, “Of course, the fetus feels pain. But I would never tell that to one of my patients, because that would just complicate an already difficult decision.”

Seriously? Probably the largest factor in her decision is the belief that the fetus is nothing but a formless mass of cells—which the abortionist or his sales staff probably told her in order to increase the odds that she would buy their service. Abortionists don’t help women by withholding information.

I remember in biology class at college, back in the 1980s, we watched a film on fetal development. I have no idea how they film fetuses in the womb (it’s amazing), but the film showed them at various stages while the narrator explained the fetus’ capabilities at each stage. There was a girl in class who became very morose during the film. I can only surmise that she had a previous session with an abortionist who had withheld any information from her—it doesn’t matter what rationale is given, the only real reason is because abortion is extremely lucrative. What a shame that the abortionist did not give her accurate information—it’s very possible that her child would still be alive, and that girl would not have been presented with the reality of what she did in such a manner.

Abortionists can lie to increase the number of clients who use their services. But they can’t prevent women from learning the truth later on. Most women know the truth anyway, even if they won’t consciously acknowledge it.

My twin brother an I were brought into this world @ 7 months....combined weighing a bit over 4 lbs....we were given our last rights within minutes of our birth....and yet we are still here...with no apparent after affects...

Thankfully we were not birthed by this evil...
