PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A video shows Eddie Lojak this past Saturday — his nose is broken, he has a concussion, a broken rib, chipped teeth, stitches across his face and a chunk of skin ripped from his tongue.
Those injuries happened after a morning of drinking to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day and ended with a run-in with Pittsburgh Police.
Cops came up behind me and shoved me down as hard as he could,” Lojak said. “Face first onto the pavement and then they all jumped on me.”
That’s where the cell phone video picks up the incident. It shows a police officer striking Lojak twice, while three other police officers held him down
“When he pushed me from behind so hard and I hit and I skidded,” he said. “I just felt myself drag across the pavement. I just laid there motionless.”
The incident happened at Station Square about 1 a.m. Saturday morning. Lojak’s friend was kicked out of the bar and was later charged with defiant trespass.
Sources confirm Lojak was intoxicated, his blood alcohol level was more than three times the legal limit.
Sources say Lojak’s friend was on the ground, already under arrest and that Lojak approached his friend — and police — in what they call an “aggressive manner,” with his “fists clenched.

When you get kicked out of bar, you leave. If you refuse to leave, you’re trespassing. Apparently, this law covers the next level of refusal to leave.

I think a lot of Freepers would have little sympathy for for a drunk who complained that the cuffs were too tight, and the cops banged his head when putting him the squad car, after arresting him for mouthing off. But when three cops hold a guy down, while the fourth breaks his nose, and a rib, chips his teeth, and gives him a concussion, and cuts needing sutures, and tears a chunk out of his tongue, you have cops who need culling.
Smart money is to comply with a cop's lawful order to let them do their job dealing with stupid punk drunks on ST Patrick's Day.
Show me some sober people, who weren't acting like assholes, who these cops hassled. Hell, did they beat up the other guy, the guy they already had in custody?
Better yet, go to your nearest city's entertainment district on a holiday like St Patricks, Cinco de mayo, and offer some helpful legal advice to cops dealing with a drunken suspect.
Then refuse to back-off.
Have your friends record it like this guy.
Maybe the officers were suffering from ‘roid rage. Test them for steroid use.
