PETA killed almost 90% of the animals handed over to the charity's American shelter

Animal rights charity PETA killed almost 90 per cent of dogs and cats placed in the care of the shelter at its Virginia headquarters last year, it has been revealed today.

The charity, well-known for attention grabbing publicity campaigns such as the 'I'd rather go naked' anti-fur campaign, euthanized 1,647 cats and dogs last year and only placed 19 in new homes according to the data submitted to the Virginia Department for Agriculture and Consumer Services.

PETA told Mail Online that the animals they take in at the center are 'unadoptable', however 89.4 per cent of pets is much higher than their own approximation that half of animals taken to shelters end up being euthanized.

Retroactive pet abortion. Soon to be applied to humans by obama-care.

PETA killed almost 90% of the animals

PETA killed over 96% of the animals they retained. Unless there is a guarantee that the cats and dogs that were transferred to another shelter survived, those animals should not be counted as survivors. Their number should just be taken off the top: 1,843 cats and dogs went in. 130 were transferred, leaving 1,713 in PETA's loving care. Of that 1,713, 1,647 were killed, or 96.1%.

But they were killed, you know, ethically.

I don’t understand. If there are more pets than there are pet lovers, what should happen to the surplus? What makes this issue so confusing to everyone? What is Obama’s solution to the Pet Glut?

I don't know how they avoid it exactly, but in the UK they euthanize very few dogs compared to most other countries. They can be kept in shelters for a very long time, and a lot of effort is spent matching socializing the dogs and matching them with prospective owners. Again, I'm not sure, but I think this is done with private funds (RSPCA)

Just wait until they start applying their ‘standards’ to humans here in the USA.

As in.....abortion?

PETA's actions do not surprise me. Once the problem is out of sight, it's out of mind.

PETA is making sure that mass “euthanasia” facilities are up and running at all times.

Ever try to adopt a pet from a shelter? It’s gotten a lot harder. They want home visits, references...like adopting a human, only the human isn’t killed (yet) because nobody is qualified to adopt.

PETA has nothing to do with ethical treatment of animals. It has everything to do with an agenda and raising of funds to make people “feel” like they’re doing something good for animals.

I was sucked into a club in middle school called “Friends of Animals.” Of course I was a friend of animals when I was 12. Our club did very little of anything, but we had a car wash to raise money for the local HSUS shelter. Several years later, I’d read that HSUS killed animals to make room in their shelters, and I felt like I’d been used as a pawn in some game for their garbage shelter. It was about that time that I learned about hunting and how truly humane taking of game really was.

The leftists are all playing a game, and everything is built on a house of cards. At some point it will be understood that everything the left purports to stand up for is truly fake.

That figures. Don’’t think about SPCA either. It’s like Hitler’s death chambers for these poor animals.

The end-game for Socialism is extermination, be it animal or human. Once Obamacare is implemented, expect similar mortality rates.
